About The Texas Sculpture Garden in Frisco

If you’ve never been to the Texas Sculpture Garden, you should. It’s one of the best in the country, and the art is carefully curated. It’s also beautifully landscaped with water features and nice walking paths. If you’re unsure of where to start, you can take advantage of the free guided tours offered by the Otocast application. You’ll find more than 40 pieces of art at the Texas Sculpture Garden, as well as an indoor art gallery. It’s open daily from dawn to dusk and is free to visit. The grounds feature landscaped stone pathways, a water wall, and 30 works of art, including works by Isamu Noguchi and Alberto Giacometti. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 10 am till 5 pm.

During our visit to the Texas Sculpture Garden, we took our boys to see the Henry Finkelstein exhibition. We also enjoyed the beautiful gardens, and many conversations began around the sculpture. The boys even named the sculptures. One of the most fascinating parts of the experience was learning about the process of creating art. Sometimes, a hole in the ground is art! After all, a plaque doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a masterpiece.

Located near Gaylord Parkway and Parkwood Boulevard, Central Park Frisco is a fun place to spend the day. It depicts life on The Shawnee Trail, the first north-south cattle trail in Texas. You’ll even see longhorns from the air. The park is nice and features a nice trail, a running water feature, an amphitheater, and plenty of space for a picnic.
